Video Introductions

As part of our new and improved literacy stations, the students have to create a 30 second introduction of themselves. We critique some as a class and give feedback according to a rubric. Then the students can take that feedback and make it better. This learning experience improves their writing, reading, and fluency in a real, authentic way. It also challenges them to accept constructive criticism and make their work better. Of course, we still have some room to grow, but these videos are examples of where some of the students are right now. Pretty soon we are moving to the students creating video critiques of books they are reading.
